My Why...?
I’m inspired to do it differently – to make a real difference to women in the workplace and bring a happiness factor to all those I work with. I want to be proud of the world of work my daughter and stepdaughters step into in the future. Whilst lots has changed for the better in the workplace during my career, there’s still some way to go to get it right and make companies a fair and happy place for all; I enjoy playing our small part in helping make a difference. I’m excited working with companies and candidates that share our values.
What do the Halcyon 4 mean to me...?
Being real and being human – I believe both are underrated in the tech heavy world we live in now. Personal relationships are what it’s all about for me and that goes hand in hand with focussing on the Halcyon happiness factor in all that we do. “Your smile is your logo, your personality is your business card. And the way you make others feel is your trademark.”
This is why I do it...?
I’ve always been high energy and naturally curious about humans and what makes people tick, and I love meeting new people – those traits serve me well in the world of recruitment. After 26 years, I still absolutely love meeting and interviewing candidates and making a difference in their lives through supporting their job search journey – and I love nothing more than a personal recommendation… Good people know good people!
What makes me happy...?
Outside of Halcyon, being on the farm looking after our shetland pony Bluebelle keeps me smiling. I love the fresh air and green fields to start and finish my day, and the physical activity is great for my mental health too. I also love being a Trustee for Head for Change, a charity I co-founded in 2021 with a cause close to my heart, following my husband’s diagnosis of early on-set dementia and CTE as a result of his professional rugby career. Being part of a very active and sporty family I love switching off with a game of tennis, a long swim or pilates class.

My Why...?
I’m excited to push myself out of my comfort zone, taking a leap of faith early in my career journey to help build something I can be really proud of. Success has always been a priority for me, but the biggest lesson I’ve learned is that the people I work with are the most important factor to my happiness and growth. I’m proud to partner with likeminded, inspirational women who share my values and bring a wealth of experience to our Halcyon table.

What do the Halcyon 4 mean to me...?
Being a trusted and credible advisor to all those I work with, and working sincerely to always the do the right thing. With a strong work ethic, hard-working is my natural style and for me the ‘Halcyon 4’ perfectly sum up our shared values as a team; they say it how it is, and I love working authentically to them every day.
This is why I do it...?
With an analytical mind and a Law degree behind me, I’ve always been intrigued by people – who they are, why they do what they do and the journeys that have shaped their lives. I love that my work gives me the opportunity to meet so many interesting people. I thrive from learning and find it amazing how much you can gain from speaking with people from different walks of life everyday – becoming their trusted go-to throughout every stage of their career.
What makes me happy...?
I am at my happiest when surrounded by family and friends, and coming from a Mediterranean background, always up for hosting a dinner party or summer BBQ! I have an adventurous nature and love making the most of my weekends, whether it’s exploring new countryside walks with my dog Albert (ideally ending with a great pub lunch!) or planning my next trip in the sun. I enjoy discovering new cultures and cuisine in far flung places – the hotter, the better!

My Why...?
After 20+years in corporate recruitment I realised that happiness is not just about financial success. For me it’s about working alongside likeminded people who I truly admire in an environment that cultivates positivity, prioritises wellbeing and inspires people who are passionate about what they do. As a mother of two daughters, there is nothing more imporatant than setting a positive example and demonstrating the importance of hard work and following your dreams.
What do the Halcyon 4 mean to me...?
The ‘Halcyon 4’ means prioritising people over profits and fostering meaningful, human connections in both my professional and personal relationships. Being honest and transparent and building trust through consistent and open communication is essential. It’s all about leading by example, inspiring others, working hard and above anything else, creating a company culture that reflects my core beliefs.

Recruitment allows me to play a pivotal role in shaping people’s careers and futures. It’s not just about filling positions; it’s about building relationships with both candidates and clients that establish long-lasting partnerships that go beyond transactional interactions. I’m passionate about creating a supportive and encouraging environment where people can thrive and celebrate success together.
What makes me happy...?
While I’d love to say I’m an ultra-marathon runner or expert skydiver, the honest truth is I’m not that adventurous. Instead, sharing a few glasses of wine with family and friends is one of my favourite ways to unwind. I also love to travel, shop, cook and binge watch a good Netflix series.
A happy day for me typically involves connecting with candidates and clients, followed by catching up with my children and hearing all the drama that comes with raising two teenage daughters.
I also love spending time outdoors walking my dog, Oscar. It’s the perfect way to clear my mind and appreciate the simple pleasures in life.

My Why...?
Having left university many years ago I embarked on an exciting and rewarding journey in recruitment – with a genuine love of people and what makes them. I worked directly with Mel, Hannah and Jo for many years. I left London in 2016 and moved to the Cotswolds where I had my children. In 2025 I was ready to return to work and Halcyon Partners was the perfect opportunity for me. Having built firm friendships with Mel, Hannah and Jo, there was no one else I would ever have worked for as we share the same values and the determination to succeed in a very competitive market place – adding value to the service we give to our clients and candidates and building lasting relationships.
What do the Halcyon 4 mean to me...?
Life is about making good choices – so not only working with people you like but sharing the same goals. This is not only true from my career choice to work with Halcyon but also for each and every candidate we place in a job. We like to do the job properly!

The relationship and trust built with a client that when you meet the perfect candidate, they don’t even need to see their CV before they book them in for interview! Candidates aren’t always perfect on paper; it is all about the ‘fit’! The recommendations of clients and candidates coming to us because we have done an outstanding job for others.
What makes me happy...?
